SB 1002 -- REVISION BILL: COURT COSTS

COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass" by the Committee on Judiciary by a vote of 15 to 0.

This bill recodifies various sections governing court costs into one section of the revised statutes. This revision was mandated by Senate Bill 869 of the Second Regular Session of the 88th General Assembly, 1996.

FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS: Supporters say that this bill simply makes the sections concerning court costs easier for people to find.

Testifying for the bill were Senator Wiggins; and Supreme Court of Missouri.

OPPONENTS: There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
