HB 1804 -- CONVENTION AND TOURISM TAX IN KANSAS CITY (Molendorp) COMMITTEE OF ORIGIN: Committee on Transportation Funding and Public Institutions This bill authorizes the City of Kansas City to collect, upon voter approval, its existing convention and tourism tax from certain transient guests and patrons of food establishments who are otherwise exempt from the sales tax under Sections 144.010 to 144.510, RSMo. FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds in FY 2013, FY 2014, and FY 2015.
