This bill expands the class of individuals who may request an
on-site sewage disposal system inspection to prospective
purchasers, property owners, and real estate agents or brokers.
The requesting party pays the fee for the inspection.

Service Fund of $13,333 in FY 1998, $16,000 in FY 1999, & FY
2000.

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee
on  Local Government and Related Matters by a vote of 16 to 0.

This bill expands the class of individuals who may request an
on-site sewage disposal system inspection to prospective
purchasers, owners, and real estate agents or brokers. The
requesting party pays the fee for the inspection.

FISCAL NOTE:  Estimated Net Increase to Missouri Public Health
Service Fund of $13,333 in FY 1998, $16,000 in FY 1999, & FY
2000.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that there are too many restrictions
on individuals buying homes.  This bill allows homeowners to
make a sewage inspection request of the Department of Health if
they feel it is needed.

Testifying for the bill were Representative Naeger; and the
Missouri Department of Health.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
