HB 690 -- Adult Responsibility For Minors

This bill makes adults responsible for certain acts of minors.
Under the bill, it is a class A misdemeanor for a parent, legal
guardian, or other person 18 years of age or older to knowingly
or recklessly allow a minor to possess: (1) weapons as defined
in section 571.010 RSMo., excluding weapons used by minors for
hunting purposes; (2) illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia; (3)
stolen property; or to allow a minor to take part in (4) an act
of peace disturbance, (5) a municipal curfew violation, or
(6)street gang related criminal activity. The bill also holds
the parent or legal guardian liable for the acts of an
unemancipated minor who commits vandalism.
