This bill requires all county commissions required to make an
appointment of a member of a political party to any bipartisan
county board, commission, committee, or council to select the
member from a list of 3 people submitted by the political
party's county political party committee.

on Local Government and Related Matters by a vote of 16 to 0.

This bill requires all county commissions required to make an
appointment of a member of a political party to any bipartisan
county board, commission, committee, or council to select the
member from a list of 3 people submitted by the political
party's county political party committee.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that this bill gives the
commissioners a choice and that the party has some input as to
an appointment.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
