Current Bill Summary
SS/SB 13 - This act provides that the design, marketing,
manufacture, distribution or sale of firearms or ammunition is
not an abnormally dangerous activity and does not constitute a
public nuisance. The act prohibits political subdivisions, as
well as the state from instituting a lawsuit against any firearms
or ammunition manufacturer relating to design, marketing,
manufacture, distribution or sale to the public. The act allows
actions regarding breach of contract or warranty for firearms or
ammunition purchased by a state or political subdivision.
This act is similar to SB 1027 (2002).
