The bill establishes May 15th annually as "Missouri's Peace
Officers Memorial Day."

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the bill coincides with the
federal holiday that honors peace officers who have given their
lives to protect the public.

Missourians Concerned For Police Survivors; Missouri Troopers
Association; Missouri Department of Public Safety; Missouri

Missouri Sheriffs Association; Missouri Peace Officers
Association; Missouri State Lodge Fraternal Order of Police;
Missouri Highway Patrol; and Sheriff of Moniteau County.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
