This bill changes the sunset date for the Missouri Rural
Economic Development Council, from June 30, 2000, to June 30,
2010.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the Rural Economic Assistance
Program has been an extremely successful program and needs to be
continued.

Testifying for the bill were Representative Tate; Lieutenant
Governor Roger Wilson; and Missouri Department of Economic
Development.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
