AN ACT
To repeal section 620.158, RSMo 1994, relating to the Missouri
rural economic development council, and to enact in lieu thereof
one new section relating to the same subject, with an expiration
date.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri,
as follows:
Section A. Section 620.158, RSMo 1994, is repealed and one new
section enacted in lieu thereof, to be known as section 620.158,
to read as follows:
620.158. 1. The council, after appropriate study, shall adopt
a comprehensive state rural investment guide consisting of policy
statements, objectives, standards, and program criteria to guide
state agencies in establishing and implementing programs relating
to rural development. The guide must recognize the community
and economic needs, and food and agricultural policy, and the
resources of rural Missouri, and provide a plan to coordinate
and allocate public and private resources to the rural areas of
the state. The council shall submit the guide to the appropriate
committees of the general assembly.
2. Sections 620.155 to 620.158 shall expire on June 30, [2000]
2010.
