Rep. Tim Van Zandt's Bio
REP. TIM VAN ZANDT
Rep. Tim Van Zandt, a Democrat, represents part of Jackson County
(District 38) in the Missouri House of Representatives.
In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Van Zandt is an accountant.
Rep. Van Zandt is a member of the following organizations: Pi
Omega Pi business education honor society; Pi Sigma Alpha political
science honor society; Trinity United Methodist Church; Rockhill
Neighborhood Association; the Committee for County Progress; Friends
of Art; Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art; Friends of the Zoo, Kansas
City; People for the American Way; and Americans United for Separation
of Church and State. He was also a member of the Standing Rules
Committee of the 1992 Democratic National Convention. He served
on the Platform Committee of the 1996 Democratic National Convention.
Rep. Van Zandt also serves on the Thomas Hart Benton Memorial
Homestead Commission and is a member of the 1996 class of Flemming
Fellows.
A 1981 graduate of Lexington High School, Rep. Van Zandt received
a degree in accounting and political science from Central Missouri
State University in 1985. He also attended Conception Seminary
College and Rockhurst College.
Born September 17, 1963, in Lexington, Rep. Van Zandt currently
resides in Kansas City.
