Biography:
Rep. Denny Hoskins, a Republican, represents part of Johnson County (District 54) including the towns of Centerview, Holden, Knob Noster and Warrensburg in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was first elected in 2008.

In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Hoskins is a Certified Public Accountant who specializes in financial planning and governmental audits. Rep. Hoskins also served in the Missouri Army National Guard.

In Rep. Hoskins’ legislative career he received the Freshman Legislator of the Year for Higher Education, Freshman Legislator of the Year for Veteran Issues, Freshman Caucus Chairman, Majority Floor Whip and Missouri Elks Legislator of the Year. In 2010, he sponsored HB 2262/2264, dealing with veterans issues and cosponsored SB 940, which modifies Bingo procedures.

Rep. Hoskins is a member of the Elks Lodge, Warrensburg Rotary and the Warrensburg, Holden and Clinton Chambers of Commerce. He is also a member of the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is a graduate of the Leadership Missouri program, Johnson County CLIMB and on the Warrensburg CLIMB Board.

A graduate of Fatima High School in Westphalia, Missouri, Rep. Hoskins received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Central Missouri in 1998.

Rep. Hoskins was born October 10th. He currently lives in Warrensburg and is the father to two children, Cole and Amelia.
