House Interim Committee on
Consumer Protection and Credit Cards on College Campuses

The Speaker hereby appoints the following Members of the Missouri House of Representatives to the House Interim Committee on Consumer Protection and Credit Cards on College Campuses:

Charge:

The Committee is charged with investigating the marketing and lending practices by financial institutions among traditional college age students.  The Committee shall determine if college students are subjected to unfair practices in the application process, through excessive penalties and fines, and restrictive membership policies.  The Committee shall determine if aggressive and predatory advertising practices are used to solicit college students.
