HB 867 -- MEMORIAL HIGHWAY

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Transportation by a vote of 13 to 0.

This bill designates the portion of U. S. Highway 36 between the
cities of Osborn and Cameron in DeKalb County as the "CW2 Matthew
G. Kelley Memorial Highway."

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds in FY 2010, FY 2011, and
FY 2012.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the bill will provide a fitting
tribute to Chief Warrant Officer Kelley who sacrificed his life
protecting our freedom.

Testifying for the bill was Representative Guest.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
