HB 928 -- MEMORIAL HIGHWAY

SPONSOR:  Dieckhaus

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Transportation by a vote of 13 to 0.

This bill designates the portion of State Highway 100 located in
Franklin County from its intersection with State Highway 47 to
the highway's connection with Interstate 44 as the "Veterans
Memorial Highway."

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds in FY 2010, FY 2011, and
FY 2012.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the bill will provide a fitting
memorial to veterans who sacrificed their lives protecting our
freedom.

Testifying for the bill was Representative Dieckhaus.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
