HCS HB 93 & 216 -- TRACTOR PARADES

SPONSOR:  Dixon (Thomson)

COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Transportation by a vote of 14 to 0.

activities and other special community events involving tractors
from certain width, height, length, and registration regulations.

The substitute contains an emergency clause.

FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds in FY 2010, FY 2011, and
FY 2012.

PROPONENTS: Supporters say that the bills will allow tractors to
be driven on roads for parades which are great fund raisers for
rural communities.

Testifying for the bills were Representatives Thomson and Guest;
Missouri Farm Bureau; and State Highway Patrol.

OPPONENTS: There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
