HB 1067 -- Animal Abuse

If a person is charged with animal abuse based on injury to the
real or personal property of another person, this bill specifies
that it will be an affirmative defense to all criminal liability
that the injury totaled less than $3,500 or less than the
jurisdictional maximum of the appropriate small claims court,
whichever is greater.
