HB 1117 -- Information for Maternity Patients

This bill requires the Department of Health and Senior Services
to design an informational leaflet about maternity-related
procedures, practices, care, and statistics.  Every licensed
hospital and birthing center will be required by the department
to prepare the information leaflet in a printed or photocopied
form and to distribute it directly to each prospective maternity
patient and to the general public, upon request.  The leaflet
must include statistics related to the annual percentage of
specified maternity-related procedures performed at the facility.
