HB 1179 -- Safe Place for Newborns Act

Currently, up to five days after the birth of a child, a parent
may voluntarily relinquish the child by safely delivering
physical custody of the baby to certain persons without being
prosecuted for child abandonment.  This bill increases the time
period to up to 30 days after the birth of a child.
