HB 166 -- Public School Health Screenings

Beginning in school year 2010-2011, this bill requires public
school students enrolled in the second grade and eighth grade to
provide proof that they have received a physical examination
within the past 12 months.  The bill specifies the criteria for
the examination and requires the Department of Health and Senior
Services, in collaboration with the Missouri State Medical
Association and the Missouri Osteopathic Association, to develop
a standardized form.  Students whose parents or guardians submit
written statements in certain circumstances may be exempt from
the bill.
