HB 467 -- Insurance Coverage for Certain Durable Medical
Equipment

This bill requires health insurance carriers and health benefit
plans to offer coverage for durable medical equipment prescribed
by a physician for all plans delivered, issued, renewed, or
continued on or after January 1, 2010.  Coverage must be assessed
standard deductible and co-payments, and a carrier or plan cannot
reduce or eliminate existing coverage or benefits.  Individually
sold health benefit plans and certain other supplemental
insurance policies are not subject to the durable medical
equipment coverage requirements.
