HB 502 -- Sale of Tobacco Products Sponsor: Scharnhorst Beginning January 1, 2010, this bill requires all self-service displays that dispense tobacco products to be located in tobacco specialty stores. "Tobacco specialty store" is defined as an establishment that derives 75% of its revenue from tobacco products. A display that holds tobacco products behind locked doors is not considered a self-service display. An owner of an establishment whose self-service display is not in compliance will be subject to penalties ranging from a reprimand by the Division of Liquor Control within the Department of Public Safety to a citation by the division prohibiting the establishment from selling tobacco products for five days.Copyright (c) Missouri House of Representatives
