HB 750 -- Naturopathic Physicians Sponsor: Faith This bill establishes requirements for the licensure of naturopathic physicians. In its main provisions, the bill: (1) Prohibits the practice of naturopathic medicine or a person to represent himself or herself as a practitioner of naturopathic medicine, with certain exceptions specified in the bill, without being licensed; (2) Establishes the Board of Naturopathic Medicine within the Department of Health and Senior Services; (3) Specifies the membership, duties, and powers of the board; (4) Establishes certain criteria which must be met prior to making application with the board for licensure; (5) Requires all persons wishing to practice as naturopathic physicians to be examined by the board as to their fitness to practice; (6) Authorizes the board to adopt rules, give exams, and collect fees; and (7) Allows the board to issue a reciprocal license to a naturopathic physician who is licensed to practice in another state if its standards are at least equivalent to Missouri's standards.Copyright (c) Missouri House of Representatives
