HB 833 -- State Literacy Hotline Information Sponsor: Parkinson Currently, schools are required to report students 16 years of age or older who drop out of school to the state literacy hotline within the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education for follow-up. This bill requires that the information from the reports must be made available at no cost on the department's web site or by other electronic means on the first business day of each month.
