HCS HB 622 -- COURT RECORDS FOR SEXUAL OFFENSES (Roorda) COMMITTEE OF ORIGIN: Committee on Judiciary Currently, a victim of sexual assault, domestic assault, stalking, or forcible rape is protected from being identified by having his or her name redacted from the public record prior to disclosure to the public if the information could compromise the welfare or safety of the victim of the crime. This substitute specifies that the perpetrator's identifying information cannot be redacted.
