HCS HB 736 -- EMERGENCY CALL LOCATION INFORMATION (Pollock) COMMITTEE OF ORIGIN: Committee on Public Safety This substitute requires a telecommunications carrier to provide, upon request, call location information concerning the user of the service, including a wireless telecommunications service, to a law enforcement official or agency in an emergency situation that involves danger of death or serious physical injury or to any person where disclosure of communications relating to an emergency is required without delay. There will be no cause of action in any court against the carrier or telecommunications service or its officers, employees, agents, or other specified persons for providing this information to a law enforcement official or agency.
