Summary of the Truly Agreed Version of the Bill

HB 709 -- VOTER IDENTIFICATION CARDS

Currently, election authorities are required to issue voter
notification cards to voters no later than 90 days prior to a
primary or general election for federal office with certain
exceptions. This bill changes the reference from notification to
identification cards and specifies that individuals registering
to vote by mail who have not previously voted will not receive a
voter identification card, but anyone who registers to vote by
mail and has not yet voted must receive a verification notice at
least 90 days prior to the date of a primary or general election
for federal office.
