HB 1776 -- MEMORIAL HIGHWAY

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Transportation by a vote of 13 to 0.

This bill designates a portion of Interstate 44 located in
Franklin County from the State Highway 100 overpass west to the
St. Mary's Road overpass as the "Corporal Dennis E. Engelhard
Memorial Highway."

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds in FY 2011, FY 2012, and
FY 2013.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the bill will provide a fitting
memorial for a patrolman who was killed in the line of duty.

Testifying for the bill were Representative Shively; and Missouri
State Troopers Association.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
