HB 1868 -- STATE RECORDS COMMISSION

SPONSOR:  Scharnhorst

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Special
Committee on General Laws by a vote of 14 to 0.

This bill removes the Director of the Forms Management Unit as a
voting member of the State Records Commission within the
Secretary of State's Office and replaces him or her with the
Commissioner of the Office of Administration or his or her
authorized representative.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds in FY 2011, FY 2012, and
FY 2013.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the bill clarifies the current
practice of the commission.

Testifying for the bill was Representative Scharnhorst.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
