HB 1912 -- MULTIPLE VERSIONS OF STATE STATUTES SPONSOR: McNary COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass" by the Special Committee on General Laws by a vote of 14 to 0. This bill combines and modifies the provisions of the Revised Statutes of Missouri that have been enacted in more than one bill so that there is only one version of a statute. Some revisions may result in a clarification or change to an existing statute. FISCAL NOTE: No impact on General Revenue Fund in FY 2011, FY 2012, and FY 2013. Estimated Income on Other State Funds of $1,500 in FY 2011, $0 in FY 2012, and $0 in FY 2013. PROPONENTS: Supporters say that the bill will correct provisions of the statute that were passed in more than one bill after consulting with the appropriate entity to determine which version to retain. Testifying for the bill was Representative McNary. OPPONENTS: There was no opposition voiced to the committee. OTHERS: Others testifying on the bill say that comments were sought from all affected entities. The bill will fix 38 of the 41 provisions of statute that were enacted more than once.
