HB 2159 -- MEMORIAL HIGHWAY

SPONSOR:  Diehl

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Transportation by a vote of 13 to 0.

This bill designates a portion of Interstate 64/U. S. Highway 40
from the McClausland/Skinker interchange east to the Interstate
64/Interstate 55 interchange as the "Jack Buck Memorial Highway."

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds in FY 2011, FY 2012, and
FY 2013.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the bill will serve as a fitting
memorial to a legendary sportscaster in St. Louis.

Testifying for the bill was Representative Diehl.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
