HB 2285 -- CONVEYANCE IN NODAWAY COUNTY

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Corrections and Public Institutions by a vote of 11 to 0.

This bill authorizes the Governor to convey to the City of
Maryville a state-owned airplane hanger at the Maryville Airport
in Nodaway County which was previously used by the Missouri
National Guard.  The conveyance also includes an easement
allowing access to the property.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds in FY 2011, FY 2012, and
FY 2013.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that there is an old hanger located
at the Maryville Airport which belongs to the Missouri National
Guard that is no longer being used, and the guard would like to
transfer it back to the city.

Testifying for the bill was Representative Thomson.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
