Summary of the Introduced Bill

HB 1279 -- Certain Juvenile Court Hearings

Sponsor: Roorda

This bill requires the juvenile court to publish in a court
docket the time, date, and location of certain juvenile
proceedings and to post the docket in a conspicuous and readily
available location in the courthouse. The posting requirement
applies to cases where the juvenile is accused of conduct which,
if committed by an adult, would be considered a class A or B
felony or for conduct which would be considered a class C felony
when the child has already been adjudicated for two or more
unrelated acts which would have been class A, B, or C felonies if
committed by an adult.
