HB 1342 -- Posting of Calorie Content

This bill requires certain food service establishments to post
the total number of calories for food items on their menus or
menu boards, including drive-through menu boards.  The provisions
of the bill apply to menu items that are served in portions which
have standardized size and content and excludes menu items that
are listed for less than 30 days a year.  Calorie content values
must be based on a verifiable analysis of the menu item.  For
food items in multiple flavors and varieties or a combination of
items pictured as a single menu item, a range of the minimum and
maximum calorie content values can be posted.
