HB 1348 -- Insurance Companies Owning or Contracting with Motor
Vehicle Body Repair Shops

This bill prohibits an insurer from:

(1)  Acquiring any ownership interest in an auto body repair
shop.  Any current ownership interest by an insurer must be
divested by August 28, 2013; or

(2)  Offering an incentive or compensation to any person for
referring an insured to a specific auto body repair shop.

Anyone violating the provisions of the bill will be guilty of an
unlawful practice and subject to the enforcement provisions of
Sections 407.010 - 407.130, RSMo.
