HB 1388 -- Transient Guest Tax

This bill authorizes the City of Waynesville to impose, upon
voter approval, a transient guest tax of up to 5% per occupied
hotel or motel room, per night.  The tax must be used for
economic development initiatives to include the construction,
maintenance, and repair of a multipurpose conference and
convention center.
