HB 1406 -- Full Orders of Protection

This bill specifies that, notwithstanding any other provision of
law to the contrary, the public interest exception to the
mootness doctrine will apply to an appeal of a full order of
protection which has expired and which subjects the person
against whom the order is issued to significant collateral
consequences by the mere existence of the order after its
expiration.
