HB 1439 -- Wildlife Code Violations Sponsor: Denison This bill specifies that, in addition to the existing class A misdemeanor charge, anyone convicted of illegally taking, killing, possessing, or disposing of an antlered deer will also be subject to a fine in an amount ranging from $l,500 to $7,500 depending on the deer's Boone & Crockett score. Any moneys from the fines must be distributed to schools pursuant to Article IX, Section 7, of the Missouri Constitution. Courts must inform the Conservation Commission within the Department of Conservation if an individual fails to appear at a hearing or to pay an imposed fine regarding a violation of taking wildlife illegally so the commission can consider suspension, revocation, or denial of the person's permit or the privilege to pursue, take, kill, possess, or dispose of wildlife.Copyright (c) Missouri House of Representatives
