HB 1504 -- Higher Education Financial Aid

Currently, the Missouri Returning Heroes' Education Act applies
to veterans of armed combat who served after September 11, 2001.
This bill removes the date and allows combat veterans serving
prior to September 11, 2001, to be eligible for the scholarship
program.  Eligibility for the program is also extended to
veterans who meet the university's requirements for Missouri
residency.

Students who have completed their secondary education through
homeschooling must receive the same consideration for financial
aid purposes as students who were not homeschooled.  No rule or
prerequisite for financial aid can be conditioned so as to
disadvantage homeschooled students.
