HB 1526 -- State Contracts

This bill authorizes the Governor to enter into contracts without
a bid or through an accelerated bid process program if
cost-saving efficiencies are identified.  The contracts are
limited to 12 months and $10 million or less.  If a return on
investment is achieved, the contract may be extended or rebid.
The State Auditor may audit the return on investment assumption,
and the Office of Administration must annually submit a list of
all contracts which have occurred under this provision to the
Speaker of the House of Representatives and the President Pro Tem
of the Senate.
