HB 1578 -- Fire Protection District Board Members

Currently, a fire protection district board can have either three
or five members serving six-year terms.  This bill requires
boards with three members to increase the number to five and to
decrease the term of all members to three years at the next
available election authorized for the district.  Any district
incorporated after August 28, 2010, will be required to have a
five-member board serving three-year terms.
