HB 1599 -- Anticramming Protection Act Sponsor: Walsh This bill establishes the Anticramming Protection Act which prohibits telecommunications companies from billing customers for miscellaneous products or services that were added to a customer's bill without his or her approval. A customer may notify the Attorney General or the Missouri Public Service Commission if a telecommunication provider fails to comply with this provision. The Attorney General may bring a civil action against a company who violates this provision to enjoin the practice, enforce compliance, or obtain damages or other relief.
