HB 1688 -- Illegal Conduct of Pharmacists or Other Health Care
Professionals

This bill requires a person who has reasonable cause to believe
that the conduct of a pharmacist or other licensed health care
professional is illegal and could cause death or serious physical
injury to another person to immediately report or cause a report
to be made to the federal Food and Drug Administration; the Board
of Pharmacy within the Department of Insurance, Financial
Institutions and Professional Registration; or any law
enforcement organization. A person who knowingly fails to make a
report of misconduct within a reasonable period of time will be
guilty of a class A misdemeanor. An administrator who knowingly
conceals any illegal conduct resulting in death or serious
physical injury will be guilty of a class D felony.
