HB 1732 -- Coordinated School Health Program

This bill requires, by January 1, 2011, the State Board of
Education to establish the Coordinated Health Program Board.  By
January 1, 2012, the health program board must make available to
each school district a coordinated health program designed to
prevent obesity, cardiovascular disease, and type II diabetes in
elementary and secondary students by providing for the
coordination of health education, physical education and
activity, nutrition services, and parental involvement.  School
districts may implement the program and participate in the
training which the state board may provide in cooperation with
the Department of Health and Senior Services.
