HB 1748 -- Distressed Water Bodies

This bill authorizes the Clean Water Commission within the
Department of Natural Resources to designate publicly accessible
bodies of water as distressed under certain circumstances and to
issue cease and desist orders for activities affecting a
distressed water body.  The procedures and requirements for
designating a body of water as distressed are specified, as well
as the powers granted to the commission regarding water bodies
that have been designated as distressed.
