HB 1755 -- Workplace Violence Sponsor: Chappelle-Nadal In order to protect the safety and identity of employees and members of the public, this bill prohibits an employer from: (1) Transmitting an employee's or customer's full name on a public address system; and (2) Providing unauthorized persons with an employee's work schedule or other personal information. Any person or entity violating these provisions will be guilty of a class B misdemeanor and civilly liable for any resulting damages. An employee or customer that reports a violation or suspected violation is not to be evicted, harassed, dismissed, or retaliated against by the owner, employer, or management personnel of the business if there is reasonable cause to believe a violation has occurred.Copyright (c) Missouri House of Representatives
