HB 1756 -- Concealed Carry Endorsements

Sponsor:  Dethrow

This bill changes the laws regarding concealed carry
endorsements.  In its main provisions, the bill:

(1)  Lowers the age at which a person can obtain a concealed
carry endorsement from 23 to 18 years of age; and

(2)  Specifies that an applicant will fully satisfy the
requirement of demonstrating knowledge of firearms safety if he
or she presents a record of military handgun qualification, files
an affidavit stating that the applicant has knowledge of the laws
relating to the justifiable use of force in Chapter 563, RSMo,
and submits proof that he or she:

(a)  Is currently serving in the National Guard, the United
States Armed Forces, or any military reserve unit; or

(b)  Has received an honorable discharge or a general discharge
under honorable conditions from the National Guard, the United
States Armed Forces, or any military reserve unit.
