HB 1774 -- Circuit Clerks in the 28th Judicial Circuit

This bill requires all circuit clerks in the counties of the 28th
Judicial Circuit to be appointed by a majority of the circuit and
associate circuit judges of each county, en banc.  A clerk in
those counties will be removable for cause by a majority of the
circuit and associate circuit judges of his or her county, en
banc.  These provisions become effective February 15, 2010, and
all elected circuit clerks at that time will continue to hold
office for the remainder of their elected term.
