HB 1930 -- Energy Conservation

This bill requires all state buildings to comply with the
International Energy Conservation Code by July 1, 2012, and
requires state agencies to purchase lowest lifecycle cost
equipment.  By July 1, 2015, state agencies must reduce their
current energy use at state-owned or -funded buildings by 15% and
may reinvest the savings to provide for the infrastructure needs
of the facility.

The Department of Natural Resources is authorized to provide free
conservation training to individuals receiving utility assistance
and to provide education and assistance to municipalities,
cooperatives, utilities, and community groups concerning
weatherization of homes to improve energy conservation.
