Summary of the Introduced Bill

HB 1988 -- Disciplinary Actions Against Certain Licensed
Professionals

This bill requires the Division of Professional Registration
within the Department of Insurance, Financial Institutions and
Professional Registration or the appropriate licensing board to
initiate a hearing before the division or the board for
disciplinary action against a licensee's license or certificate
upon receipt of certified court records of a full and final
adjudication of a finding of guilt or a plea of guilty for
certain specified offenses.  The division must notify the
licensee at least 30 days before the hearing and inform the
licensee of his or her right to be represented by counsel.  The
division's decision will be subject to judicial review under
Chapter 536, RSMo.
