Summary of the Introduced Bill

HB 2032 -- Political Activities by Gubernatorial Appointees

Sponsor:  Wasson

This bill prohibits public officials who are appointed by the
Governor with the advice and consent of the Senate from holding
office in or making donations to political parties or
organizations and from taking part in any political campaign
during their term of office.

When the Senate is notified of an appointment, a list will
accompany the notice showing the appointee's contributions to any
political campaign during the two years preceding the
appointment.
